Read on OdyseeOn Arweave

Hello everyone, it's been a while since our last update, but we took the time necessary to make something incredible and deliver a better product to you. At this stage, getty has improved, and we are very excited to share this incredible update.

We have named this update Argonath, the pillars for creators and streamers on Odysee. Don't have a channel yet? It's time to create one and upload content.

Let's start with something you're probably noticing in this update post: the new version of our website, a completely revamped version with some very interesting features, which we'll list below.

New website

  1. Renewed design: Our website has a new architecture and a new design that is unified with the application design.
  2. Post on Odysee: You can view each post on Odysee from the badge at the top, and you can comment and react to the content.
  3. Posts on Arweave: getty posts are now stored on Arweave. This means that every update is immutable and permanent.
  4. Hidden sidebar: Decide whether you want to view content without distractions or with more details. Simply open or close the sidebar to explore further.

Info

We have implemented an Easter egg that can break the fourth wall. If you want to explore, you can find it—they are waiting for you.

Now that we have shared a brief introduction to our new website, we are going to share all the improvements in this v1.1.6 update of getty.

UI/UX Improvements

In general, we have made a global improvement to getty at the UI/UX level, improving styles, such as the application's homepage, and visual improvements to the user and admin dashboards. These improvements include visual optimization of widgets, chat overlays, modules, graphics, analytics, settings, and more.

Streaming categories

Now your live streams from Odysee will be automatically classified on getty using the custom tag from the live post on Odysee. Just chatting, music, gaming, or technology? Just go live and find out—the category will automatically save your tag. This feature is great for seeing in real time which categories you do most in your live streams.

Improved channel analytics

Now your analytics provide you with more information. Previously, you could only see general information about your Odysee channel, but now you can search for individual uploads to your channel using the search engine and view the metrics for a video or post on your Odysee channel.

Improved stream analytics

Yes, improvements have also been made to the real-time statistics for your live streams on Odysee, with new filters and more options that we encourage you to explore in this new version.

Polls have arrived on getty.

Introducing our new feature, the new polling system on getty for your OBS overlay chat with permanent storage on Arweave. Create polls, invite your community to participate in important votes or just for fun, and watch the magic happen in real time on your OBS poll overlay. The results obtained in each poll are immutable once they are stored on Arweave.

See a real result here:

Where do you want to store your data? - Winner: In Arweave · 2 votes. On Arweave

Each poll result will be displayed upon completion in the getty admin with a link that automatically sends the poll to Arweave. It is completely anonymous and displays participant data. This is great for those who want to conduct fully transparent voting without the risk of results being altered.

Note

Let us know what you think by posting your comment about this new poll feature if you are visiting our post on our Odysee channel.

Better configuration

No more ClaimIDs! We know how confusing it can be for some users to find the ClaimID of a post or channel to configure getty, and this is no longer necessary. You just need to log in with your Odysee account and that's it, you can select the channel in the settings you need, for analytics, chat, notifications, widgets, etc.

New chat theme

We want you to enjoy the best experience with your chat overlay on your Odysee live stream, which is why we've integrated a new chat theme called Encrypted, a theme with two visual modes, Encrypted Dark and Encrypted Light, adjusted to your preferences.

But that's not all—we've also improved all chat themes, optimizing styles and behaviors for your community experience in OBS or Meld Studio.

Chat support with Twitch

Multistreaming is very common these days, which is why we don't want to limit ourselves. Now you can have your Twitch and Odysee chat in the same overlay, without restrictions.

How does it work?

Just log in with your Twitch account from the chat settings or the homepage. It is important that you are also logged in with your Odysee account beforehand for proper configuration if you want to use dual chat.

New TTS (Text to Speech)

We are introducing an improved version of TTS (Text to Speech) for chat messages on getty. Select your language and voice type and enjoy the ride. Configure it from the chat settings and select the type of TTS you need. To select the voice, simply go to the notification settings in admin and select the language and gender for the voice.

Important

To select the TTS (Text to Speech) voice, simply go to the notification settings in admin in getty and select the language and gender for the voice.

Videos in notifications

We are really excited about this feature because, now that the Wuzzy search engine has been integrated into getty since previous versions, we have expanded the file types you can use for your tip notifications in the notifications widget.

Previously, you could use GIF images and custom audio for your notifications. Well, we've improved this feature, and now you can search for and use videos found in the Wuzzy search engine from the notification settings.

Yes, you can continue to use GIFs, default remote audio, and custom audio, and you can also search for videos in MP4 and WEBM formats stored on Arweave from Wuzzy. You can also upload your own videos for notifications as an optional method.

What is Wuzzy?

Wuzzy is a decentralized search engine based on the AO protocol and Arweave. The Wuzzy search engine uses a radial architecture in which autonomous crawlers index web content and a central “Nest” permanently stores the data on the permaweb. This design ensures censorship resistance, permanent content archiving, and horizontal scalability; getty works with these features.

Reactive dashboard

If you prefer to use a customizable widget and module dashboard, now you can. From the header of your dashboard in getty, you can switch from the traditional static dashboard to a reactive dashboard. You can dock widgets and modules, change their position and size, and customize your dashboard however you like.

This is great for streamers who want to see all their streaming activity on another monitor without having to use OBS to review the entire stream's activity.

This is the overview of getty version 1.1.6 for all Odysee streamers and creators, but there are more surprises to discover by exploring getty in depth. Perhaps now we can more accurately say that we are the first real alternative with Odysee support, and that really excites us.

Important

We also integrate Arweave more responsibly as a backbone based on permanent storage with truly unique features.

Now that we are in the final stage of this update post, the new update phase for version 1.1.7 is also beginning. What surprises will the next version bring us?

We encourage you to explore, share, create your channel on Odysee, and go live or upload content. We welcome you with open arms at getty. Thank you for being a part of this.
